Slavery: then and now

We’ve talked a great deal about slavery in the past few weeks. When the south closed ranks it began to justify slavery with a whole new fervor using especially the Biblical story of Noah and Ham. I’d like you to look at the story and contemplate why it was interpreted in this way.
